PIMCO says Michael Amey, 32, will join the firm as Senior Vice-President in charge of UK fixed income.
Reporting to Emanuele Ravano, Executive Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management in London, Amey will be the UK lead portfolio manager in UK fixed interest mandates and involved in the development of European as well as UK investment strategy.
Prior to joining PIMCO, Amey worked at Insight and Rothschild Asset Management for 9 years, where he was promoted to head of UK Fixed Income at the end of 2000. He holds a Masters in Corporate and International Finance from Durham University, where he also taught post-graduate courses for several years.
