The American Stock Exchange has launched trading in four new Claymore Securities, Inc. exchange traded funds.
The four ETFs are backed on different equity indexes: Ocean Tomo, Sabrient Systems LLC, Clear Indexes LLC and Light Green Advisors, LLC. “The Amex is proud to be working with Claymore on these unique ETF offerings,” says Cliff Weber, senior vice president of the ETF Marketplace. “Claymore has created innovative products that offer investors new opportunities. We are pleased to have been selected to list these four new exchange traded funds.”
The OTP seeks results corresponding to the performance of the Ocean Tomo 300™ Patent Index. The first ETF to invest in an index based on the corporate intellectual property value, it is comprised of 300 common stocks that own valuable patents.
DEF seeks results corresponding to the Sabrient Defensive Equity Index. The index identifies companies with superior risk/return profiles during periods of weakness in the American markets and overall economy. The Claymore/ LGA Green ETF, comprised of 225 stocks, is based on the Light Green Advisors Eco* Index.
The CSD index seeks to match the Clear Spin-off Index, and is the first ETF to track companies who have spun off from larger companies. Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, LP is the specialist for the four ETFs and LaBranche Structured Products, LLC is the specialist for the options.
