Capital Group company, American Funds Service, has extended its long-standing transfer agency relationship with SS&C Technologies’ Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS).

A full range of transfer agency solutions are provided via SS&C GIDS, which was originally launched in September last year.

This includes core recordkeeping, a suite of investor and advisor-facing digital solutions as well as newly improved integration tools that offer flexibility to American Funds’ specialised servicing models.

Additionally, American Funds Service Group will continue to act as a client of defined contribution recordkeeping services provided by SS&C Retirement Solutions.

“After careful consideration, American Funds Service Company chose to extend its 30-year relationship with SS&C,” said Rich Prior, president of American Funds Service Company at Capital Group.

“Leveraging SS&C GIDS enables us to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience to our investors and advisors. In addition, we look forward to working with SS&C as a client partner on their Lyric initiative.”

This latest mandate extension from American Funds Service follows on from SS&C’s impressive list of new transfer agency mandates for its UK business.

Over the last year, SS&C has won several high-profile transfer agency servicing deals in Europe from the likes of Aberdeen Standard Investments, Janus Henderson, Conbrio Fund Advisors and Eurizon.

“We are pleased to continue our long and valued relationship with American Funds,” said Nick Wright, global head of SS&C GIDS.

“SS&C enables clients to seamlessly engage with their clients worldwide with advanced technology and high-touch services.”
