American Century Investments Becomes First Client Of JPMorgan Investor Services Securities Messaging Outsourcing Service

JPMorgan Investor Services says fund managers American Century Investments have become the first client to go live with its new securities messaging ouutsourcing service, JPMorgan Message Express

JPMorgan’s relationship with American Century began in 1996 and has since grown to include custody, investment products, broker dealer services, credit syndication, trust services and cash management.

“JPMorgan Investor Services was a natural partner for us because of the full range of securities services and industry expertise they provide,” says Wayne McCoach, custody operations manager at American Century. “By using Message Express, American Century and its clients will benefit from greater operational efficiencies, reducing cost and risk.”

JPMorgan Message Express is a message management service that aims to provide provides financial institutions with links to industry messaging utilities without the technology costs associated with multiple and changing requirements of industry and counter-party standards. It offers clients the ability to view transaction status and information regarding settlement instructions, create reports and enter messages online via the JPMorgan ACCESSSM Web gateway for clients. “Users can monitor and manage all incoming and outgoing messages real time, with the ability to drill down into specific messages, ultimately simplifying their workloads while providing them quicker access to information,” says JP Morgan.

In addition, a SWIFT Service Bureau designation allows Message Express to offer clients outsourced SWIFT connectivity. As a SWIFT Electronic Trade Confirmation Service Provider, Message Express acts as an agent on behalf of clients to exchange electronic trade confirmation messages with matching and confirmation services such as Omgeo Central Trade ManagerSM (Omgeo CTM), as well as send settlement instructions over SWIFTNet.
