Amba Research, an investment research outsourcing firm, has closed a round of venture capital funding from Helion Venture Partners, a $140 million venture fund. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Amba Research delivers investment research support via dedicated analysts to clients in all major financial centers around the world. The firm’s clients include research teams at over 50 percent of the leading global investment banks, as well as leading investment management firms and hedge funds.
“Globalization and trends such as unbundling are changing the research landscape for both asset managers and investment banks,” says Andrew Houston, co-Founder of Amba Research. “We are seeing growing interest in investment research outsourcing from financial services firms, particularly for the more complex services in which Amba excels. This funding will enable Amba Research to keep pace with the demand.”
