HSBC Amanah Takaful (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (HSBC Amanah Takaful) has appointed Zainudin bin Ishak as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer recently.
Prior to joining HSBC Amanah Takaful, Zainudin was the Chief Executive Officer of another local joint venture Takaful provider where he led the company to deliver business results and pursued initiatives with the JV partner in leveraging Takaful expertise in Malaysia.
Zainudin started his career in the Broking Division of a local insurance operator in 1989. From there on, the 42 year-old executive has served in various capacities especially in sales and operations including setting-up of a robust claims settlement system as well as heading the Customer Service Division.
Having gained the knowledge and expertise needed in managing a conventional and Islamic insurance company from 19 years of hands-on experience, Zainudin is motivated to bring HSBC Amanah Takaful to another level of its growth. At the same time, he will continue to leverage on the seamless relationship with HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad and widen the coverage of the Takaful operator.
