AlphaPipe, a data provider, has appointed Charles Cassidy to its board of directors as a strategic advisor.
Cassidy retired from investment consultancy Cambridge Associates in 2014 where he built up its operational due diligence business and led the early development of its online research platform Research Navigator.
He also co-authored the report issued by the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets chaired by former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in 2007 and 2008.
Prior to this, Cassidy held a number of senior operating and marketing roles over 25 years at State Street, where he built the bank’s European global custody business. Cassidy also helped State Street establish and grow business units in Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands and Toronto.
AlphaPipe was established by Westley Chapman. Chapman was previously at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he led the risk team and built the operational due diligence unit at its external manager selection business. He also served as chief financial officer at Goldman Sachs Investment Management Division.
