Toronto-based Algorithmics, a provider of risk management applications, says a new release of its Algo Capital software is now available.

Algo Capital aims to help banks meet Basel II capital weighting requirements across all three pillars: risks, business lines, asset classes and approaches.

“With over 150 clients and more than fifteen specific Basel II engagements, we are keenly aware of the depth and breadth of an institution’s unique requirements,” says Michael Zerbs, Chief Executive Officer at Algorithmics. “Algo Capital meets these unique requirements by satisfying both tactical and strategic approaches to Basel II using a robust, proven, and consistent Algorithmics infrastructure.”

Algorithmics claims that a Basel II project can be implemented by a user of Also Capital in phases, adding pieces as requirements dictate, and so reducing the costs and risks of the implementation.
