Aleri Inc., a provider of enterprise-class complex event processing (CEP) technology and CEP-based solutions, has been recognized as a standout leader in CEP in a recent report from Forrester Research, Inc., titled The Forrester Wave: Complex Event Processing (CEP) Platforms, Q3 2009.
The report features nine CEP providers that were surveyed based on 114 requirements which were broken into three high-level groups: Current offering, strategy and market presence. Two of Aleris clients were also interviewed on their use of Aleris solutions.
Highlights of Aleris platform include:
– Across-the-board strength in runtime architecture, platform administration, CEP features, and tools for developers;
– Market maturity by earning sterling strategy scores for planned enhancements, licensing options, and pricing transparency.
As a category, CEP has for the most of its history been a niche market. However, during the past year, it has begun to enter the enterprise computing mainstream, says Forrester Research. The number of vendors that have built advanced tools for both developers and business end users is a sign that the market is maturing. The technologys number of potential customers is likely to rise.
We are thrilled to be acknowledged as a leader in Forresters recent report and this recognition complements our demonstrable performance numbers conducted through the STAC benchmarking report, says Don DeLoach, CEO of Aleri. Complex Event Processing solutions are emerging as a requirement to the mainstream market. While CEP was once viewed as just an event driven application, firms are now identifying the need for platforms as a vital puzzle piece in the overall business process. As the adoption of CEP technology continues to grow, Aleri will continue to provide its customers with invaluable solutions to give them the competitive advantage they need to succeed.
