Etheios, the London-based investment management consultancy has appointed Alec Hoffman as Associate Director and head of its Retail Fund Services Practice. The practice brings together Transfer Agency, Distribution and WRAPS, on grounds clients gain the benefits of an integrated approach to retail funds product development and administration.

Hoffman joined Etheios in 2000 as a Principal Consultant specialising in investment administration and has worked on a number of consultancy projects for the company. These include implementation of a fund supermarket administration platform and the provision of systems for straight through processing (STP) for clients, including Mellon Investment Services and Bank of New York. He has worked in the financial services industry for fifteen years with experience in treasury, international banking and fund management.

“Transfer Agency has been a key capability within Etheios since our formation in 2000 and Alec’s appointment marks our continued commitment to this important area,” says Rod Homer, Chief Executive of Etheios. “As Head of the Retail Fund Services Practice, Alec leads a team of highly regarded practitioners with years of practical experience in Transfer Agency, WRAPS and Distribution platforms. Alec is supported by an extensive range of in-house resources which enable Etheios to deliver all aspects of Retail Funds consultancy, from strategic planning, product design, operational reviews and platform selection to systems implementation and operational readiness.”
