Financial Objects plc announced the implementation of FAIRS Document Manager at Alan Steel Asset Management.

Fully integrated with FAIRS IFA Manager, the document management solution aims to help Alan Steel to comply with regulatory requirements as well as streamlining business and administrative processes within the Scottish IFA firm.

FAIRS Document Manager is a comprehensive document scanning, storage and retrieval system that provides an efficient and cost effective solution to the vast quantity of documentation associated with running a compliant IFA practice. It drastically reduces the amount of physical storage space required for paper documentation and files, helping to reduce costs even further.

Alan Steel Asset Management decided to replace its incumbent document management system to realise the benefits of seamless integration between FAIRS Document Manager and its FAIRS back-office database.

John McKillop, Systems Manager at Alan Steel Asset Management said, “The benefit of FAIRS Document Manager being fully integrated with our core FAIRS database was clear from the start. It simplifies the indexing process when documents are posted within the system and provides instant accessibility to documents across the organisation. And, by automating many of the manual processes involved we have increased efficiency and reduced the margin for error.

Furthermore, Financial Objects was able to migrate all of the data and associated documents from our existing system and formulate the necessary links to entries within the FAIRS database. FAIRS Document Manager will ensure efficient data flow throughout the company and will be instrumental in helping us to achieve regulatory compliance,” he added.
