AIM Membership Reaches 900

The number of companies on AIM, the London Stock Exchange's international market for smaller growing companies, has reached 900. The 900th admission was Wichford plc. So far this year 189 companies have joined AIM raising a total of £2.56 billion.

The number of companies on AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s international market for smaller growing companies, has reached 900.

The 900th admission was Wichford plc. So far this year 189 companies have joined AIM raising a total of £2.56 billion.

Since its launch in June 1995, a total of 1,517 companies have been admitted to AIM, raising a total of £12.89 billion. The total market capitalization of AIM at the end of July 2004 was £24.2 billion.

“Reaching the 900th company milestone caps a fantastic first half of the year for AIM, showing the strength and maturity of the market and underlining its position as the most successful market in the world for smaller, growing companies,” said Mat Wootton, Deputy Head of AIM.
