Expand Consulting, which specialises in advising capital markets CIOs, has appointed Raza Hussain as Group Managing Partner and Gary Gibbs as Managing Partner, sales and marketing.
As Group Managing Partner of Expand, Hussain is responsible for the vision, direction and operations of the business. He was most recently CEO of CIO Connect, a membership organisation for CIOs and other IT decision makers, and the Managing Director of the IMPACT Programme, a UK provider of personal and professional development for CIOs. Prior to these roles Hussain was a consultant to the investment banking sector.

Gary Gibbs joins Expand to take responsibility for the firms sales and marketing activities including identifying and expanding new revenue channels, client relationships and strategic partnerships. He was most recently Vice President Banking Group for operational risk management solutions at CheckFree Software – which acquired Accurate Software Inc in May 2005 -with direct sales and pre-sales management responsibility for North America. Prior to establishing Accurate Software in 1998, Gibbs was Vice President Sales North America at Maryland-based Merant (formerly INTERSOLV), a provider of enterprise software development technologies.
Gibbs started his career in the aerospace engineering industry developing advanced technology programmes and applications before moving into the software business in 1989.
