ABN Amro plans to increase its stake in Brazil’s Banco ABN AMRO Real, the Dutch bank announced Tuesday.

The new stake will double ABN Amro’s stake in the bank for around $282 million in cash, adding another 3.86% to its existing 3.86%.

ABN Amro acquires this new share from Italy-based Banca Intesa, which has held an 11.58% stake in the Brazilian Bank since 2003.
