After three successful projects at ABN AMRO in Switzerland and Germany during the last few years, ABN AMRO Private Banking decided in 2009 to go for a global license model of Quartal COMMISSION, Europes leading commission management solution.

The fourth Quartal COMMISSION installation within ABN AMRO was successfully put into operation in Luxembourg by the end of January 2010. In this subsidiary, Quartal COMMIS-SION covers accounts receivable and payable management for the distribution of third party funds, as well as accounts payable management for service fees.

The aim of the joint project was to best automate and standardize processes for handling dis-tribution fees within the bank. “One of the main reasons why we opted for Quartal is the seamless integration of Quartal COMMISSION into our existing IT landscape. Clear ex-pected application integration and usage allowed Quartal to quickly define and implement the technical and functional specifications, with the necessary application adjustments to fit to our needs. With more than half a million transactions yearly to be managed, we must run ret-rocession management processes efficiently and safely, which is only possible with a profes-sional commission and fee management solution,” says Pierre Souciet, Head of Change and PMO at ABN AMRO Bank Luxembourg S.A.

The co-work between ABN AMRO and Quartal Financial Solutions will soon be extended to other ABN AMRO Private Banking entities. “The successful implementation of Quartal COMMISSION at ABN AMRO in Luxembourg will help us continue expanding our market leadership in Europe. The last project with ABN AMRO was very positive. The close coopera-tion and experience we gathered will certainly help us carry out the future projects even more effectively. Both parties can therefore benefit from the global licensing model at its best” says Thierry Zuppinger, CEO from Quartal Financial Solutions AG.
