ABN AMRO Capital and BBS Capital have agreed to sell Sogetrel to Barclays Private Equity France and management for an enterprise value of EUR 90.3 million.

ABN AMRO Capital acquired Sogetrel in July 1999 in a EUR31.5 million buy-out together with management and BBS Capital.

ABN AMRO Capital acquired its stake in the French installation company in July 1999 in a EUE 31.5 million buy-out together with management and BBS Capital, Sogetrel has since expanded into an engineering firm offering the design, installation and maintenance of multimedia and telecom networks with 37 outlets with 900 employees.

“This has been a successful investment for AAC and our investors,” Herve Claquin, managing partner, ABN AMRO Capital France. “We generated a total gain representing an overall money multiple of 4.7 times the cost of our investment and have achieved an IRR of 27% over a 6.5-year period.”

This is ABN AMRO Capital’s third exit of 2006, following the sale of Holland Rail Consult in the Netherlands and Kreatel in Sweden.
