State Street boosts US asset owner business with two new hires

New head of US asset owner business and client service manager have been appointed at State Street.

State Street has appointed industry veterans, Hermant Bhide and Bruce Shain, within its US asset owner unit.

Bhide has been named head of the US asset owner business and joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was a partner within the firm’s financial services advisory practice.

His experience spans front, middle and back office roles and he will report to head of asset owners for the Americas at State Street, Stephen Nazzuro.

Shain has joined State Street as a client service manager within the US asset owner business and will report to Bhide.

He previously worked at BNY Mellon for 20 years as a senior vice president and head of US corporate, government and non-profit businesses. 

Prior to that he held relationship management and client service positions also servicing institutional clients.

Nazzuro explained both have strategic and consultative experience across multiple markets, which “will bring tremendous value to our clients.”
