Cloud-based prime broker Clear Street has confirmed several appointments to its sales team, including Patrick Travers who will oversee the new team in his role as head of distribution.

Travers brings more than a decade of experience leading teams to the role, holding senior positions at Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Most recently, Travers served as co-head of equity finance and co-head of global distribution of equities at Wells Fargo.

In addition, Clear Street has appointed Raoul Scott, Doreen Pappas and Ryan Walker to its prime brokerage sales team; Kevin Salquist to sales and trading; and Hamed Anvari to equity derivatives trading.

At Clear Street, Travers will report to Andrew Volz, chief operating officer, who said of the appointments: “We are thrilled to have an industry veteran like Pat take the reins of our growing sales team. Each member of the team brings years of experience, skills, and integrity. Under Pat’s leadership, I am confident that we will continue to deliver a best-in-class experience for our clients.

“We look forward to what we will accomplish together in 2022 and beyond as we continue to expand our network and bring new products and services to market.”

Founded in 2018, Clear Street claims to be the first prime built on cloud-based infrastructure. The firm processes more than $3 billion in trades of US equities and options each day – representing approximately 2% of the total volume in the US.  In 2021, the business saw a 14% year-on-year increase in annual revenue, with more than $400 million in capital on the balance sheet.
