Greek bank EFG Eurobank Group has acquired Attica Hermes Securities, which was 51% owned by the Bank of Attica.
Attica Hermes Securities is one of the oldest brokerage companies in Greece, which last year ranked 19th in the turnover league table, with a market share of 0.81%.
EFG Eurobank says the acquisition is part of the general strategy of EFG Eurobank to further enhance its leading position in the market.
The completion of the acquisition is subject to the approval by the Capital Markets Committee (CMC), the Bank of Greece, as well as the usual financial and legal reviews.
