Research Recommendations and Electronic Voting (RREV), the corporate governance body that is jointly controlled by the National Association of Pension Funds and ISS, has launched a new weekly alert service for its clients.

Issued each Monday, the alert flags potential contentious issues in advance of the RREV Report publication. The information included in the alert is based on a quick check analysis conducted when RREV receives company reports, as opposed to the information contained in RREV final reports, which are based on considerable engagement and contain RREV’s final vote recommendations. Therefore, according to RREV, weekly assessments included in the alert may change in the light of further analysis and engagement with companies.

“Engagement with companies to improve corporate governance is at the heart of what the RREV service provides. Our new contentious issues alert helps pension funds and their investment managers prioritise, well in advance, the companies they may wish to speak to,” Tim Sawyer, CEO of RREV, said.
