Finjan Software has released its latest security update for its Vital Security Appliance Series NG.

The update includes a virtual patch for an unpublished vulnerability of a software vendor that had recently been discovered by Finjan’s Malicious Code Research Center (MCRC) and had yet to be patched by the vendor.

Finjan has made the technical details available to the vendor and will not disclose any details publicly until the security hole is fully patched. Finjan’s customers are already protected.

“This is another example how Finjan customers benefit from the activities of our dedicated MCRC research group and our rich security experience, gained through nine years of R&D in the proactive security space,” stated Shlomo Touboul, CEO and founder of Finjan Software.

“Finjan is committed to providing its customers with zero hour security against next generation attacks, including those which exploit unpatched vulnerabilities, as reflected in Finjan’s Zero-Virus Infection Guarantee. We are proud to be the first vendor providing a Zero-Virus Infection Guarantee to its customers,” concluded Touboul.
