The system may look unusual to mutual funds, but it has become commonplace in world of banking.
Vanguard Group announced that they will implement security measures to protect its clients from online fraud and identity theft by way of a system designed by RSA Security that monitors customer behavior on the Vanguard Web site and reports unusual behavior to site administrators.
Vanguard says it was attracted to the system because mutual funds typically are not watched as closely as bank accounts are.
