South African CSD STRATE says that Erna Solomon has resigned as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and executive director of the company. She leaves on 18 November 2006. Solomon joined STRATE in July 2003.
STRATE has appointed Mike Higgo as interim COO until such time as a permanent appointment is made. Higgo [MComm (IT), CA (SA), MBA (Wits)] has extensive experience in interim management within the financial services and IT arena. In his capacity as an executive director of Palladium Phendula, Higgo consulted to the Nedcor Group, Investec, Vodacom and Glenrand amongst others.
