The Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) has appointed rpd Pl, an economist, as its new CEO. Gyrgy Mohai, who has been acting CEO since Zsolt Horvth stepped down, will continue as deputy CEO.
Pl started his career at consulting firm Bankr Tzsdebefektetsi s Gazdasgi Tancsad Kft. in 1992, where he later became chief of the corporate finance department.
He joined Budapest Bank in 1996 and the CEE private equity fund of CROESUS group in 1997.
He was appointed consultant to Postabank’s CEO in 2002, ahead of the bank’s privatisation.
Pl has been teaching at Budapest’s CorvinusUniversity since 1993 where he was elected assistant professor in 2005, teaching corporate finance.
