Northern Trust has hired Simon Senior to manage a team of client-facing consultants within the London-based Investment Risk and Analytical Services (IRAS) team. The team provides total pension fund, asset class and portfolio level performance measurement and risk analysis to institutional investors and fund managers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
“In an increasingly complex financial and pensions environment, the demand for in depth performance measurement, risk management and analytical tools has never been greater,” says Jim Trotter, the head of IRAS EMEA. “As a global custodian with access to significant amounts of data, Northern Trust is extremely well equipped to provide clients with independent risk analytics that take into account total plan assets. Being able to provide this level of independent analysis is increasingly of interest to institutions in EMEA, particularly as they seek to meet new regulatory requirements.”
Senior brings around 14 years experience to the IRAS team. He joins Northern Trust from Barclays Wealth Management. Prior to this, he worked at Fidelity Investments where he held positions based in the United Kingdom as well as the United States. He was also a member of Lipper’s Client Advisory Council from 2003-2005.
Senior’s role at Northern Trust is to manage the client-facing consultants, ensuring they deliver performance measurement services to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
