Representatives from HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, IBM, and GemStone Systems will be exploring the data management challenges associated with implementing a highly responsive data backbone at the Enterprise Data Fabric (EDF) Forum: Low Latency Data Infrastructures for Trading and Grid Based Analytics, presented by Waters Magazine.

Moderated by Phil Albinus, editor of Waters Magazine, the EDF Forum will examine best practices and effective strategies for evolving distributed data infrastructures.

Panelists will include, Steven Grill, a Chief Architect at HSBC Securities, Shankar Iyer, an Executive Vice President at GemStone Systems, Tom M.S. Bradicich, an IBM Fellow.

As firms brace themselves to meet the demands of increasing data volumes and globalisation across all asset categories, low-latency data infrastructures are becoming a necessity in global capital markets. Forward thinking firms can gain a significant competitive advantage and substantially increase their agility in areas such as electronic trading and risk management by deploying a low-latency data infrastructure. The EDF Forum will provide attendees an informal venue to discuss strategies for success and potential solutions for both new and existing infrastructures and applications.

The EDF Forum, sponsored by GemStone Systems, provides the opportunity for industry leaders to gather and discuss the unique data management challenges within the financial services industry, as well as best practices and new technologies available to solve these issues. Originally launched in New York on 8 February 2006, the EDF Forum is a recurring global event that will be held three times annually.
