BT has become a provider of extranet connectivity for the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX).

TAIFEX will utilise the Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure to support the distribution of the exchange’s real time market data, which will be available to more than 10,000 financial service sites worldwide. Through the agreement, TAIFEX will make its market data available on a shared network for the first time, vastly simplifying global financial institutions’ access to this information.

“This move is aligned with our mission to provide investors with more efficient services to increase our market share by global expansion,” says Arthur Yeh, Senior Executive Vice President, TAIFEX. “We chose BT because of its unprecedented access to the global financial community, as well as the benefits of high speed, low latency connectivity, which enables us to reap cost and time efficiencies with lower infrastructure costs.”

Richard Man, Head of Asia-Pacific Sales Radianz Services, BT Global Financial Services adds: “With the addition of TAIFEX, customers can realise the cost-saving benefits of using the Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure.”
