On 1 October, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange will be launching a stock exchange game for private investors. The focus will be on imparting knowledge on all aspects of stock exchange trading investment funds.
Two types of game have been devised: a knowledge-based game aimed at familiarising participants with financial issues on a weekly basis and then testing their knowledge at the end of the game; and a fund stock exchange game that simulates trading in fund units. Participants can trade in all of the funds listed on the Xetra trading system and the Frankfurt trading floor, around 3,200 in total.
As in real-life stock exchange trading, participants have access to various different order types and validities. The hours during which the game can be played also correspond to real trading hours.
The winners of both the fund stock exchange game and the knowledge test canlook forward to securities account shares of 10,000 (first place) and 5,000 (second place). The third prize is a trip to Frankfurt for two with a range of activities included. The game will be organized in partnership with AXA investment managers.
