Deutsche Boerse AG has been included in the Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50, as of 15 October.

The index contains the 50 largest listed public limited companies in the euro area. Deutsche Boerse was admitted to the DAX, the benchmark index for the German equity market and the national equivalent of the European DJ Euro STOXX 50 index, at the end of 2002.

“We are delighted that Deutsche Boerse AG has been included in Europe’s leading index. This is a major success for our company and serves as recognition of the achievements of all of our employees. The trust that the markets have placed in our company is sustainably reflected in the development of our market capitalization, and forms the basis for our admission to the index. We will be doing everything in our power to further expand the position that we have achieved,” says Reto Francioni, CEO, Deutsche Boerse.

Inclusion in a benchmark index raises a company’s profile among investors. At the same time, demand for the stock generally rises thanks to investment strategies that track indices.
