Santander Global Banking & Markets has appointed David Behan to the new role of global head of solutions, reporting to Jorge Maortua, global treasurer, and rendering services to Richard Williams, global head of equity, Miguel Angel Cestero, global head of rates and Ignacio Dominguez-Adame, global head of credit.
Behan joins from the AIG Financial Products Group. He has significant experience in financial markets, having worked in a number of international locations and in a variety of different roles in derivatives across trading, marketing and sales.
Behan’s role at Santander will focus on developing the breadth and depth of derivative solutions offered to Santander’s global client base in equities, commodities, rates and credit.
“We are putting strong resource and focus on developing our client businesses and David brings experience and leadership that will prove highly valuable in strengthening and extending our existing capabilities,” says Williams.
