SunGard has launched the next generation of its Apsys core banking application for private banks and wealth management firms with over 500 users.
Initially designed for small to mid-tier banks, Apsys has now been enhanced to offer higher performance, scalability, advanced business processes and front-to-back-office functionality for larger private banking operations.
The new application’s Service Oriented Architecture will allow banks to offer client services through third party systems, such as CRM tools, Web applications and e-banking applications.
Apsys suits a range of customer segments, from ultra high-net worth and family offices to high-net worth and the mass affluent. Banking transactions may be optimised and business processes aligned with industry changes through the applications Business Process Management capabilities.
“For the past ten years we have helped private banks across Switzerland with their core banking requirements. Many of our customers have grown during that time, offering more sophisticated products and enhanced client services. This growth has triggered an increase in core banking requirements and we have continued to develop Apsys to meet these demands,” says Daniel Bardini, president, SunGard’s Apsys.
