Japan’s financial watchdog plans to order Nomura Holdings to improve internal controls in the wake of an insider trading scandal at the broker, Reuters reports.
Japan’s Financial Services Agency, which will likely make a formal decision next week, had determined that while Nomura had not been lax in establishing a system of internal controls, it had failed to keep pace with the diverse and increasingly complex nature of its business, sources told Reuters.
