ABN AMRO Clearing has become the first Agency Trader for the APX-ENDEX futures markets.

Agency Trading offers companies the possibility to trade and register their trades for clearing at APX-ENDEX via an Agency Trader. Companies can register at ABN AMRO Clearing to directly register their OTC trades for clearing on APX-ENDEX. Clients of ABN AMRO Clearing will be able to register their trades for clearing for the APX-ENDEX Power NL, Power BE, Power UK and TTF Gas futures markets.

We are delighted to be the first bank to offer Agency Trading on APX-ENDEX, says Emile Goulmy, sales/product manager of Energy & Commodities at ABN AMRO Clearing. The first clients will start this week, and we have many more in the pipeline to start soon. We are determined to remain at the forefront of the industry, by extending our European Clearing Services offering. This will display our commitment towards OTC cleared transactions and proves that we constantly strive to meet our clients needs.

Bert den Ouden, CEO of APX-ENDEX, adds: The concept of Agency Trading allows even more players to directly access the APX-ENDEX futures markets. We have previously launched a similar facility on our spot markets, and we are excited to see ABN AMRO Clearing as the first Agency Trader on our futures markets. We look forward to seeing the Agency Trading concept develop further and welcome more companies to trade via this arrangement.
