DnB Nor, the Norwegian financial group, has changed its name to DNB.

The institution alerted clients of the pending name change at the end of October, and it is now official. The full new name is DNB Bank ASA.

DNB says the name change will have no effect on business relationships, contractual arrangements, agreements or operations.

The group has been known as DnB NOR since 2003, upon the merger of Den norske Bank (DnB) and Gjensidige NOR.

DNB offers local custody in the Norwegian and Swedish markets.
