Total estimated outflows from long-term mutual funds were $4.5 billion for the week ended June 15, compared to about $4.9 billion the previous week, the Investment Company Institute reported today.

Flow estimates are derived from data collected covering more than 95% of industry assets and are adjusted to represent industry totals.

Equity funds had estimated outflows of $7.33 billion for the week, compared to estimated outflows of $5.76 billion in the previous week. Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $6.86 billion, while estimated outflows from foreign equity funds were $463 million.

Hybrid funds, which can invest in stocks and fixed-income securities, had estimated inflows of $342 million for the week, compared to estimated inflows of $173 million in the previous week.

Bond funds had estimated inflows of $2.49 billion, compared to estimated inflows of $5.53 billion during the previous week. Taxable bond funds saw estimated inflows of $2.41 billion, while municipal bond funds had estimated inflows of $75 million.
