HSBC Securities Services has appointed Geoff Pullen as head of Sales and Business Development for UK Alternatives, reporting to Tony McDonnell, head of Sales and Business Development, Alternatives, Europe. The newly created strategic role comes as the bank seeks to extend its coverage of the alternatives sector.
Pullen will be responsible for sales to new and existing clients in the alternatives sector in the UK and for building out a business development coverage model for existing HSS hedge fund relationships in the region.
Pullen joins HSBC from BNP Paribas Securities Services where he was a senior sales manager for the UK and global hedge fund business. Previously, he worked in prime brokerage consulting roles at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers in London.
