Giles Elliott to Leave Standard Chartered

To ensure a seamless transition, Elliott will continue in his current role as global product head, Securities Services, through to September.

Giles Elliott, global product head, Securities Services, at Standard Chartered, will be leaving the bank at the end of September. He is leaving to pursue other interests.

Elliott has worked in securities services for almost 11-and-a-half years and began in his current role in August 2007 covering funds services, custody services and broker clearing services.

Before that, he worked as head of Product Development and Support, Securities Services, HSBC from 2003-2007. Elliott also worked as head of Network Management, Asia at J.P. Morgan Chase, covering decisions on sub-custodian selection across Asian markets for the global custody business.

Industry veteran Elliott was named as a GC Legend by Global Custodian.

Commenting on his departure, Chris Teo, manager, Business Corporate Affairs, Standard Chartered Bank, said: We can confirm that Giles Elliott will be leaving Standard Chartered. To ensure a seamless transition, Giles will continue in his current duties and role through to September 2012. There is no impact to how we support and work with our clients. Giles successor will be announced in due course.
