Northern Trust has appointed Jeff Kearny to develop its asset servicing business in the Western U.S.
Kearny has worked in investment consulting for more than 15 years, joining Northern Trust from Korte & Associates Consulting, where he was a partner and managing director. Before Korte, he worked as a consultant at Mercer for 12 years, where he cofounded its investment operations consulting unit Mercer Sentinel.
He has an MBA in Finance from Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and speaks regularly at industry events, Northern Trust says. His area of responsibility will be business development for institutional clients in the Western U.S., and he will report to Jon Dunham, director of North American sales for Corporate & Institutional Services at Northern Trust.
“Jeff Kearny has a strong record of success as a consultant for corporate pensions, defined-contribution retirement plans, insurance companies and not-for-profit institutions, and we are pleased to have him on our team,” Dunham says. “Jeff’s depth of technical expertise, knowledge of current market best practices and innovative thinking give him a unique perspective that our clients and prospects will find informative and compelling.”
