Brett Meili has been appointed legal counsel for U.S. Bancorp Fund Services (USBFS), focusing on the firms alternative investment products and services following its acquisition of fund administrator AIS.
USBFS says it is in the process of expanding consultative support and resources to serve the firms alternative investment clients and larger community.
Meili previously was chief compliance officer and anti-money laundering reporting officer of Stark Investments, an international, multi-strategy hedge fund complex. He also has been chief legal officer of the Baird Funds, a managing director in the legal department of Robert W. Baird & Co. and senior counsel at the Strong family of mutual funds.
Meili has a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Northwestern University plus an MBA and JD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
