HSBC Securities Services (HSS) has appointed Sooraj Sreenivasan as the new global head of transfer agency and distribution support, effective March 1 2013.
He replaces Gina Slotosch who moved from this role to a new position as head of Global Custody Product, towards the end of last year.
Sreenivasan will be based in Singapore and will report to Ian Stephenson, global head of Fund Services, HSS.
He will focus on developing HSSs Transfer Agency and Distribution product capabilities. Sreenivasan will also support business growth and ongoing investment programmes, help drive product efficiency and profitability, and manage the product response to regulatory and environmental change.
Stephenson said: His deep product knowledge, experience and his exposure to the Asian markets will be beneficial in driving the strategic agenda of our Global Transfer Agency and Distribution product. The development and support of cross border fund distribution is a key part of our UCITS offering and Sooraj will work with the team to build and deliver market leading capabilities in this space, said Stephenson.
Sreenivasan joined HSBC in 2005 and has over 13 years of experience in servicing Asset Managers, with specific focus on Transfer Agency services.
