OneChicago says 73,827 security futures contracts traded in November. Open interest stood at 162,367 contracts on November 28.
The top five security futures products by volume in November were Microsoft Inc. (MSFT1C) with 5,855 contracts traded, Best Buy Co. Inc. (BBY1C) 5,538, Coca-Cola Co. (KO1C) 4,124, Applied Materials (AMAT1C) 4,081 and Pfizer (PFE1C) with 3,742. Each contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.
The Exchange now has a total of 109 products: 94 single stock futures, including futures on the DIAMONDS Trust, and 15 futures on the Dow Jones MicroSector Indexes sm . OneChicago is a joint venture of the Chicago Board Options ExchangeIncorporated (CBOE ), Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT ).
All products are electronically traded on the CBOEdirect match engine and accessible through the CBOEdirect and GLOBEX platforms. All security futures can be traded out of either a securities or a futures account.
