Jens Hachmeister, managing director – issuer services & new digital markets at Clearstream, details the firm’s shift to a digital hybrid CSD and its plans to scale tokenisation across the securities value chain.

There’s been plenty going on across securities services this week again, from another senior reshuffle at State Street (we had one in here last week too) and a £21 billion mandate moving from one custodian to another, to BNP Paribas rejigging its digital assets operation and Deutsche Bank preparing to launch digital asset custody in Europe.

Clearstream, meanwhile, is busy building a bridge between the traditional and digital worlds, and we caught with digital markets specialist Jens Hachmeister about the ICSDs work.
