First-quarter trading on the Spanish market posted €203.78 BN, a new record, according to BME.
In March trading in equities on the Spanish market through SIBE reached €62.26 bn, 2.5% up on the same month in 2004. Trading on the Latibex market hit a monthly high, posting € 42.7 million. Trading volume in MEFF in the first quarter was 28% up on 2004, reaching 9.4 million contracts. During the same period, trading in stock futures was 4.2 million contracts, 61 % up on the year. Trading volume in Corporate Debt on AIAF was €69.14 bn, 32.8% up on the same month in 2004.
