The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) will connect its network of regional and global operations via BTs network.
The BT Connect portfolio of managed network services will link NBADs centralized IT services from the data center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to NBADs 12 international branches. The bank is in the process of centralizing its core banking operations in the UAE.
NBAD earlier adopted BT Radianz Cloud services at the banks trading floor in the UAE, which connects thousands of locations around the world.
The National Bank of Abu Dhabi is a customer with a great global pedigree and we are proud to have been chosen to run their regional and global networking infrastructure, says Kevin Taylor, president for Asia, Middle East and Africa & president of Global Logistics at BT. This deal is a clear sign of the trust global financial players put in our expertise. It also further consolidates our position as the networked IT services provider of choice for financial institutions in the Middle East and beyond.
NBAD has one of the largest branch networks in the UAE offering retail, investment and Islamic banking services.
We want to continue to be the bank of choice for our customers around the world and the contract with BT will cement our position as a leading global bank with the best and most secure connectivity for our operations, says Hossam El Kobrosy, director of IT Infrastructure at NBAD.
