Deutsche Borse has added 500 new mutual funds to its list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, bringing the total number of funds listed on the exchange to 3,100.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange has also seen a rise in trading volume and daily transactions since the segment launched five months ago. It increased the segment’s market share from 18 percent to 26.5 percent, and the number of transactions rose 15 percent to more than 1,000 per day. Private investors have become the dominant traders on the stock exchange with an average order volume of €9,000. Deutsche Borse has been trading funds since its launch of the XTF segment in April 2000.
