Deutsche Boerse has connected the first participant from the United Arab Emirates, TMG Trading FZE, to its electronic trading platform Xetra.

Participants from the United Arab Emirates can trade all of the instruments listed on Xetra. Deutsche Boerse received the relevant regulatory approval from the Emirates Securities & Commodities Authority at the end of March 2007.

A new access point for Xetra will be available in Dubai from as early as the end of this year.

“We are delighted to have our first participant from this fast-growing region, which underpins our strategy of expanding into new markets and regions,” says Rainer Riess, Managing Director of Cash Market Development.
