Close Asset Management continues the expansion of its intermediary client adviser team with the appointment of Jon Wingent to the role of intermediary client adviser. As the latest RDR policy statement is digested, Jon will be working with intermediaries to better understand its implications and plan for the future.
The latest Policy Statement from the FSA has conclusively set out the rules under RDR, says Steven Mendel, head of UK Wealth Management at Close Asset Management. Supporting the adviser today for tomorrows changes is key to Closes growth strategy and that is why we are investing in quality people, so I am excited to welcome Jon Wingent to the team.
It is less than three years before RDR becomes enforceable, so planning is critical. Jon will be working closely with IFAs to support them advising clients on their investments and on developing their businesses.
Jon brings with him a wide range of experience in private banking from EFG Private Bank, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Wealth. He has advised directly both affluent and high net worth individuals and supported their advisers on the full spectrum of investment opportunities including conventional and alternative asset classes.
