HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management appoints Clarissa Wong as Head of Global Payments and Cash Management, HSBC Macau.
Clarissa has been working in the Hong Kong Product Management team for the past five years, having developed and managed products across HSBCs full range of integrated cash management solutions, including Integrated Payments Solutions, Integrated Receivables Solutions, Integrated Liquidity Management Solutions, and Integrated Delivery Channels.
In her new role, Clarissa will be responsible for driving HSBCs Cash Management business strategy in Macau, leading a team of industry specialists to deliver integrated cash management solutions tailored to a range of companies, including Multinational corporations, Middle Market Enterprises, Small and Medium Enterprises and Financial Institutions.
“On top of its burgeoning tourism industry, Macau is continuing to develop itself as a centre for foreign trade, logistics, back office and offshore business centres,” says Iain Taylor, head of market development, global payments and cash management, HSBC Asia Pacific. “With such positive economic growth, there is a greater demand for corporates and multinationals seeking specialised cash management products and services. Clarissas appointment further highlights our commitment to Macau and her relevant product background and industry knowledge reinforces our thought leadership and on the ground expertise to our clients.”
“In the past year, we have seen demand for outsourcing and complex cash management solutions grow due to the increasing need by companies to be more efficient in a domestic market where GDP has been expanding rapidly and where there is competition for experienced and skilled labour,” says John Laurens, head of global payments and cash management, HSBC Asia Pacific. “Clarissas appointment shows that we are responding to and anticipating future demands from our customers and it also highlights our intent to build on our market leading position and grow our Greater China franchise further.”
