BNP Paribas SA, has appointed, a veteran asset manager and strategist from Dresdner, to its FX Strategy team in New York, to head foreign exchange research division covering global currency markets.
Galy will be responsible for providing foreign exchange solutions for the bank’s corporate, real and leveraged-account clients. He will report to Hans-Guenter Redeker, global head of foreign exchange strategy, and Christian Mundigo, head of fixed income trading for the Americas.
“Galy’s experience and knowledge of the foreign exchange market and his outstanding expertise on macros and quantitative analysis will greatly benefit the bank’s clients,” says Redeker.
At Dresdner Kleinwort Galy served as a senior currency strategist based in London. He previously worked at UBS, where he managed global FX portfolio tactical asset allocation of it non-institutional base, and held positions at the Bank for International Settlements.
