Asset Control, a provider of financial data management solutions and services, has appointed Brooks Gibbins as vice president of product and strategy.

Gibbins will report to Phil Lynch, CEO and president of Asset Control, and is responsible for product management, corporate strategy and business development. The appointment is effective immediately.

Data is the foundation of financial organizations no matter what market you are in, and this is precisely what drove me to join Asset Control, Gibbins says.

Gibbins joins Asset Control from Microsoft and FAST, where he was managing director for Capital Markets, Banking and Insurance. He was also a key executive at Multex, holding sales and product leadership roles through the firms early growth, IPO and acquisition by Reuters.

This is a key strategic hire for Asset Control, and Brooks impressive credentials make him a natural fit with our management team, Lynch says. Were always exploring the most innovative ways to connect publishers and consumers of data and Brooks pedigree in the software and financial information industries directly supports this strategy.
